Explain the limitations of Artificial intelligence.
Background: Jam3 is a design and experience company. One of the aims of Jam3 is to generate new ideas. Those ideas are researched and developed at Jam3 Labs, thus, today’s ideas become tomorrow’s brands! One of the latest ideas is to use an algorithm to generate modifications of adidas sneakers. The type of algorithm is a “generative adversarial network (GAN)”. GANS actually make use of two different networks, one that generates new images of what is supposed to be sneakers (sport shoes), and the other tries to work out which are fake and which are real sneakers by being trained to look at real adidas sneakers. The detail of the algorithm is not important here. What is important is that the algorithm can create new trendy designs for sneakers! The visuals of the new designs of the sneakers can then be used in real campaigns and analytics can be done on the feedback (surveys, tweets, Instagram comments…..) to see which modified

designs are the most popular. From those, the popular designs, real new types of sneakers can be manufactured and sold. Sources: https://medium.com/@Jam3/how-to-make-ai-generated-sneakers-3a39464ec58d

Suppose that you are in charge of a team of analysts and data scientists and you want them to adapt the algorithm (generating new sports shoes) to another specific area of fashion (e.g. dance shoes, high heal shoes, coloured shirts, summer dresses, leather coats).
Assessment Instructions
• In your own words, introduce the idea of algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) from your workshop notes and the references below. Also explain what AI can do in a general sense. [250 words, 7 marks]
• Introduce the application area of fashion to which the team will adapt the algorithm. [100 words, 3 marks]
• Explain exactly what data you will need to gather for the algorithm, e.g. images of men’s white shorts, tap dancing shoes, race day hats, lengths, widths of items, etc. Describe what type of data this is and how that differs from other types of data, i.e. is it structured, semi- structured, unstructured? How do these types differ? [250, 7 marks]
• Describe how you will get feedback from potential customers about your new designs, e.g. tweets, and what the next steps will be once you have feedback. [200 words, 3 marks]
• Explain how you might store all of your data. [100 words, 3 marks]
• Explain the limitations of Artificial intelligence. [100 words, 3 marks]
• Include at least five references which can include one or two from your workshop notes. Use Harvard referencing. In the Academic Success Centre on MyKBS see STUDY RESOURCES – ACADEMIC SKILLS. [2 marks]
According to you, what are your reflections on the characteristics of effective learning ?
1. According to you, what are your reflections on the characteristics of effective learning ? (250w)
2. Mention four advantages and four disadvantages of technology integration in learning, teaching and assessment. (100w)
3. Discuss some barriers faced by teachers and/or students regarding online distance learning, teaching and assessment and suggest three measures that can be implemented to overcome these barriers. (150w)
What are some strengths and limitations of each theory?
How are Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Choice/Reality therapy theories similar and different?
- What are some strengths and limitations of each theory?
- What are some ways that each theory is compatible and incompatible with Christian concepts? (Use Tan textbook)
- Based on each theory’s concept of psychopathology, discuss any limitations as far as creating measurable outcomes for clients. (Use Switzer and Rubin textbook to help with case conceptualization prior to discussing measurable outcomes)
*(Hint: While you will use the Corey book to help understand the theories, it is helpful to use the Switzer and Rubin textbook to guide case conceptualization; using this can help to understand measurable outcomes in prompt four. The Tan book is helpful for question three, regarding compatibility with Christian concepts)
For each developing individual, comment on the characteristics observed.
Erikson’s theory suggests that developmental changes occur throughout our lives in eight distinct stages. The stages emerge in a fixed pattern and are similar for all people. Erikson argued that each stage presents a crisis or conflict that the individual must resolve. During the psychosocial crisis, the individual must address the crisis during the stage sufficiently to move to the next stage of development.
In this Module: Week, you are required to make an informal observation (church, mall, library, etc.) of two developing individuals who are in two different stages of Erikson’s eight stages of psychosocial development. For each developing individual, comment on the characteristics observed.

Discuss the historic significance of the court case Rightout vs. Oregon (1983) for legal definitions of sexual assault.
Answer any two questions (10 points each):
1. Discuss the historic significance of the court case Rightout vs. Oregon (1983) for legal definitions of sexual assault.
2. Analyze this statement from the text: “Compared with other crimes, there is an extremely wide gap between the actual number of sexual assaults and those offenses known to the police.” Why is hidden (i.e.,the “dark figure” of sexual assault) so prevalent?
3. Some years ago, Missouri politician Todd Akin created a political media firestorm with his comments about the difference between “legitimate” and “illegitimate” rape. Do you think there is any legal, scientific, or cultural basis for his claim? (Search the internet for a summary of controversy if you are unfamiliar with it).
Why does this character need to be who they are for the purposes of the story?
Drama Analysis Prompt
Introduction
This assignment is meant to engage with two of the topics we’ve been focused on—drama as a method of storytelling and characters as a crucial element of them.
Fictional characters are portrayed through the characters’ actions and reactions as well as other characters’ actions and reactions to them, by the way they appear, by what they say, by what they do, and by what others say about them.
A character analysis presents the reader with a critical view of a dynamic character, and evidence to support your view must come from the work itself.
Prompt
Choose a character from Euripides Bacchae and, providing textual evidence , argue for an interpretation of that character. What sort of person are they? What are their motivations? Then, once you argue for this interpretation, briefly explain why your interpretation matters to the overall story. Why does this character need to be who they are for the purposes of the story? How does the story shape that character?
