Consider how changes in linguistic methods and tools, as well as theoretical and analytical models have helped to develop the field. What new trends appear to be emerging and what is this in response to?

The field of Forensic Linguistics has developed significantly since the early work of Jan Svartvik in 1968. Describe and critically discuss changes in research endeavours (/questions), approaches and methods over the past twenty years or so. Focus either on the analysis of spoken or written texts (e.g. ransom notes; text messages). Consider how changes in linguistic methods and tools, as well as theoretical and analytical models have helped to develop the field. What new trends appear to be emerging and what is this in response to? I am attaching some sources. Use some or all depending on whether you think they are appropriate. Focus only on ONE between written or spoken texts. Sources have to be both case studies (empirical studies) and generic texts about forensic linguistics. The essay will need subsections (such as Introduction, maybe Early developments etc etc and a Conclusion, of course). Two of the sources are in Russian but I have attached a (badly) translated version from Google translate. If you decide not to use it, it is ok. I would need a total of 25 sources. You can use other sources as well that I have not attached. To access some of the source you may need my university login which I am happy to provide.
