For this final assignment, you are going to create an imaginary art exhibition based on a theme of your choosing. This exhibition should be based on course content and include 5 or more works of art that you select based on your theme. Your exhibition will also include an exhibition statement that contextualizes your ideas.  The Theme: Get creative!  Themes like  Impressionism or puppies are not going to give you much room for creativity.   Now, puppies in Impressionism is starting to get more interesting, but I’m not sure there were many puppies in Impressionism, plus it still feels a bit limiting.  The best themes are creative and broad, but not so broad that they are meaningless (for example, joy as a theme is so broad it lacks any significant meaning). The Exhibition Statement: The statement will have an introduction with a thesis statement that identifies your theme and explains the significance of your ideas. This statement should be written in 3rd person.  .  This handout from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD)  will give you an overview of how you should approach the statement. The artwork: 5 or more artworks found using the same resources used in previous discussions: should be thoughtfully ordered in your exhibition to help illuminate your ideasshould be thoughtfully ordered to make connections between the works of art that comprise your exhibition.
