Coordinating AgenciesTask 1Read and/or view all items under the Required Resources Section of this module. Describe Advocacy AgenciesVolunteer Agencies.Local BusinessesOther resources not already listed but could be used as resourcesPlease be mindful that the section titled “Local Businesses” should be specific to your area. Organizations such as The American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, etc. are not local businesses. They are branches of a national organization. In addition, local businesses should not be government entities or non-profits. They must be for profit businesses local to the area that could help in a disaster. Examples of local businesses are veterinary offices, local banks, diners, etc.In completing this proficiency, you should list the proper name of the resources (if different than listed) and add additional resources that fit in one of these areas or add an area. Please provide an actual phone number, the main office number (if different than the phone number), a phone-down method of contact (if available), and any notes that may be helpful to know about that resource in a crisis. This is a Communications List that you can use throughout your career if you are in the same local community. Even if you move from the area, this resource list can be a template for your next job.
