Research Project: Pro/Con Vaccinations
Goals: To learn/develop scholarly research, critical thinking skills, and
high-quality
synthesis like should be used by educators.
What: Develop an educated knowledge-base about a topic that
effects
children, parents, and educators.
How: Try to forget everything you have ever heard, read, or learned about
vaccinations. Make logical
arguments and provide supporting references.
Process: Review a variety of resources to help develop an outline for your paper.
Three types
of sources are acceptable. 1. Use
scholarly research not hearsay, books, basic internet searches. Ask a
librarian for help to understand scholarly research if needed. 2. Use any of the resources
listed below.

Assignment Requirements Write a paper about the use of vaccinations.
There are two parts to the paper. Write pro vaccinations and write against
vaccinations.
Here’s some prompts to help get started.
You have just been elected as the Minister of Early
Childhood Development and Education. You
must explain to all of the citizens in your country why all children must be
vaccinated (support vaccinations).
You have just learned you are expecting your first (and
only) child. You have decided not to
vaccinate your child. You must convince
your spouse why there should be no vaccinations (support no vaccinations).
You do not have to actually write a speech format nor use
the actual prompt from above they are simply to help you take a stand.
Paper requirements The paper should:
be 5 full to 6 typed pages.
be12-point, Times New Roman font.
have 1-inch margins.
be double-spaced.
have a cover page (not one of the 5 or 6 pages).
an abstract is not required but may be included.
include references and an APA reference page
