Do Americans get what they deserve from our economic system?

Do Americans get what they deserve from our economic system? Do Americans who live in poverty deserve to live in poverty? Do wealthy Americans deserve their wealth? What needs to be changed in order to make our economic system better?

In your answer you should demonstrate thoughtful understanding of the different schools of thought we have studied in relation to economic justice (e.g., capitalism, socialism, Rawls difference principle, etc.) and you should demonstrate an accurate knowledge of the distribution of basic economic goods (e.g., healthcare, income, social security, education, etc.) in the United States today.
