The evaluation component focuses on the design and analysis.
The critique component is to offer the pros and cons of the research questions and the discussion of results.
Evaluation
 Describe the design of the study with a focus on independent and dependent variables with detailed
mention of the resulting stats Things to consider: how many IVs and DVs? Did the authors use t-tests,
RM ANOVA, 2-way ANOVA, etc.? Articulate why the design/analysis was appropriate (or not).
 Discuss the criterion for significance used, any power analysis that was performed, any tests related to
data normality, etc.
Critique
 This section should be your personal assessment of how good the paper is.
 Provide your opinion of things like: importance of the research question, sample (size, characteristics,
etc.), quality of tables/figures, and their interpretation of the study findings.

 Explain the reasons for your opinions.
