Write all of this up into a short paper: (i) explain DH; (ii) explain the experience machine thought experiment; (iii) explain the criticism of hedonism offered by the thought experiment; (iv) say whether you would plug in for life, and explain why or why not. Your paper should correctly distinguish between Nozick’s imagined machine itself and the thought experiment, which is also called “the experience machine.” Be sure to use very plain language, and/or define any technical terms you use that a reader who has not read the text would not understand.
