Understanding the Strategic, Business and Marketing Planning Process
1. Discuss the difference between a strategic plan, and a business plan; and remember to include the following in your response: the first step is the marketing plan/strategic plan, and tell if you feel the business plan is pointless without the strategic plan; and include in your reply include your ideas about how the business plan should or should not be market focused with a high dependency on the environment within which the business operates. Explain how the business plan should be based on the corporate mission, objectives and if the marketing strategy should be based on the definition of marketing from the AMA
2. consider the chapters you read during the course, what is the essence of marketing? Make sure to include: a philosophy of consumer orientation, the process of organizing to satisfy the needs of a group or groups of customers, and a focus on future opportunities? Please use your company as the example in your discussion and any external research or tools offered in the course to support your discussion?
