Identify a financial goal that you would like to set for yourself that relates to annuities or loans.

Identify a financial goal that you would like to set for yourself that relates to annuities or loans. It can be short, mid, or long term, but it should be financial in nature. Analyze this financial goal using research to find information and formulas/calculations to make conclusions. Your analysis needs to include at least three different scenarios associated with the financial goal and show calculations for each. Each scenario should necessitate the use of either the annuity or payout annuity formula and have different answers.

For example, you may identify your financial goal as buying a 2003 Subaru Impreza. You would do some research about how much it would cost, and then some research about different financing options at banks or car dealerships (including all these sources on your Works Cited page). Your three different scenarios could be three different financing rates, or loan durations, etc that you found through three different financial institutions. Or instead, you could look at three different car options (not all 2003 Subaru Imprezas). You can choose what parts of the situation you want to change, but ultimately you need to have at least three different options for achieving the identified financial goal, and they need to be based on research (not made up).

Finally, you need to identify which of the options you would choose, and why. This decision should have a rationale, and you need to defend it using appropriate information.

Narrative which describes your financial goal and various options (1-2 paragraphs)

Calculations which include appropriate formulas and work (these may be handwritten or typed)

Narrative which identifies your choice and defends it with information (1 – 2 paragraphs)

Citations (these can be web links and I do not require a particular format)
