A good leader has the ability to motive and bring teams together, communicate well, delegate effectively, honest, integrity and transparency (Muteswa, 2016) and show empathy. When a leader shows that they trust their team and supports them through motivation employees will want to show up to work. Each member of the team will work up to their full scope of practice when the leader delegates effectively. Employees struggle with family and work issues, when the manager is empathetic the employee feels valued and will want to work.
