Training for MailChimp: Go to FORMS and view the document labeled Mail Chimp Training. Links to various free training classes are on the document. Check out the one on branding. If you register they will send you the recording even if you can’t attend that time slot.

Set up a Mail Chimp account (free) and create a newsletter with content about something you are interested in. You will then select three classmates plus your instructor as your test audience. Send out the newsletter and request feedback.

Your newsletter should include:

Images- photographs, graphics (Canva is a great resource https://www.canva.com/ (Links to an external site.) and also free)

Curated content (meaning you selected it from somewhere else and gave credit)

Original content (meaning you created/wrote it)

Contact information

Branding (i.e. a logo, specific colors, etc.)

An unsubscribe/opt-in statement

Take into consideration how recipients will view it- phone desktop pc, laptop, tablet

Consider your audience when designing the content
