Problem

A survey of nonprofit organizations showed the online fundraising has increased in the past year. Based on a random sample of 45 nonprofit organizations, the mean one-time donation in the past year was $68, with a standard deviation of $12.

1. If you test the null hypothesis at the 0.01 level of significance, is there evidence that the mean one-time donation is greater than $60? (Hint: use the p-value approach for a right-tail test.)
2. Interpret the meaning of the p-value in this problem.
