Purpose Of Assignment
This assignment will give you the opportunity to explore how music streaming has impacted different areas of the music industry
and evaluate who the winners and loser are.
The dramatic growth in streaming has impacted every area of the music industry in different ways, so understanding the ways
that the industry has evolved, alongside the opportunities and challenges, is critical.
Requirements
You must:

1. Choose three (or more) of the following key areas to base your essay on: record labels, publishers, digital distribution &
   aggregators, artist management or the live sector.
2. Explain how these areas operate and interlink, and their relationship with the DSPs.
3. Research from a variety of credible, scholarly sources (as recommended on the Reading List/Online Resources for this
   module).
4. Discuss whether you feel streaming has saved the three (or more areas) of the industry you have picked for the essay.Ensure
   you discuss the positive and negative aspects those areas face today as a result of music streaming. It is essential that you use
   your research to justify your points.
5. It is essential to adhere to the Harvard referencing format (and not any other referencing format) to make references to your
   research within the essay (in-text citations). Include a reference list and bibliography that adheres to Harvard referencing.
