The question I want to answer specifically, is how genetic modification has progressed over the years, from the early stages of discovery to the prospective aims of tomorrows next feat.

I aim to evaluate not only the Biology and Chemistry behind genetic modification but include the different stances that other subjects: such as Psychology and English Literature; that have played a significant role in the leading of key discoveries that have made genome editing what it is today. I will delve into topics that break the boundaries of regular editing, along with how these stances fuelled key discoveries within the timeline of human genetic engineering.

Additionally, I intend to research the multitude of genetic procedures available today, such as Therapeutic cloning, designer babies and the use of stem cells in modern medicine, whilst debating the ethicality and moral stance of modification not only for today’s medical procedures but for the future as well.

I will be investigating the sustainability of our planet and how it relies on a conscious effort not only from science but as individuals ourselves. Of how we can take a more active role of keeping our planet in control of the climate crisis and how our actions, solely can be amplified to a global scale to make the world a better place for generations to come. Along with the help of advancements in Artificial intelligence and genetic human modification to help restore the planet to its former glory.

I want to improve my ability to analyse and evaluate a wide range of facts, methodologies, and personal interpretations while staying objective. I will learn how to choose essential bits of information from a variety of sources in order to develop a comprehensive conclusion that is both useful and supported by reason and proof.
