Part 1: Find your State’s Academic Standards
Go to the Oklahoma State Department of Education, or the State Department of Education in your state of residence. Find Academic Standards in your state. In Oklahoma, these are under Services and Oklahoma Academic Standards. Choose a grade level and content area that you currently teach or would like to teach in the future. If you are currently teaching in higher education or Adult Basic Education, use the relevant standards and learning outcomes from your instructional context. Include a copy or link to these standards for your instructor to view.
Part B-For Assignment 1, you will write a professional growth plan on how you will use the skill of setting objectives for a classroom, district, or group of people that you currently work with or hope to work with in the future.
