In order to do this, you will need to compare and contrast two interpretations (analysis through two different critical lenses) of the same one poem. Your formal essay will contain a clear main claim, multiple sub claims, and specific evidence from the poem. Your essay response will be a 4-5 page essay, typed in MLA format, with no other outside sources used. The only sources for this essay are your informed analysis and the one work of poetry you are analyzing.
