Explain the drivers of globalization and how they impact business decisions
Differentiate between domestic and international business environments
Describe the factors that contribute to international market attractiveness and entry
Scenario
You are a business analyst working at a small domestic organization that produces high-quality baseball bats. Your organization has begun to see its sales flatten in the domestic market. While the organization is not losing money, leadership would like to explore options to continue growth. One option that leadership has noticed competitors attempting is entering international markets.

You have been asked to examine the benefits, drawbacks, and key considerations for your organization to enter one of the global markets below, and to summarize your findings in a business brief for leadership.

Select one of the following international markets to use for your course project:

Republic of Korea
Canada
Germany
If you would like to use another country for your course project, please reach out to your instructor.

Use the Social Constructionist theory of gender, work, and the family to analyze the documentary film Maid in America.

Learning Objectives:

Critical Reading, identify arguments and evidence

Explain key concepts

Application of concepts to empirical case

Writing organization, grammar

Write a short essay, 2 to 3 page double spaced essay (2 is good!)

1_ Use the Social Constructionist theory of gender, work, and the family to analyze the documentary film Maid in America. Draw on the readings by Hondagneu Sotelo (on Canvas) to analyze what is happening in the lives of the undocumented immigrant domestic workers AND the families for whom they work. Identity the key sociological concepts and issues at play, keeping in mind the core issues of difference, inequality, and power. How is domestic work fundamentally gendered? Why are undocumented immigrant women the perfect people to perform domestic work for US families, why do they come to the US to do this work? Who benefits from this arrangement? How could the situation of immigrant domestic workers be improved, what needs to happen? Be sure to explain and apply key concepts from Hondagneu Sotelo.

write a “lessons learned” report for either the Republic of Liberia or the United Nations World Health Organization.

Choose one of the following questions and write a “lessons learned” report for either the Republic of Liberia or the United Nations World Health Organization. Focus on the organizational lessons of the epidemic. Please deal with the resources and partners you can reasonably expect to help. You cannot assume a miracle will occur and you will have endless healthcare workers and resources.
1. Liberia’s Ebola epidemic has passed and Miatta Zenabu Gbanya finally has time to reflect on one of the worst healthcare crises to hit a developing country. President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has asked her to put together a “Lessons Learned” report on what the Republic of Liberia can do to improve its ability to respond to another Ebola epidemic.
2. Margaret Chan, the World Health Organization’s director-general has asked Bruce Aylward to reflect on the failures and missteps of the WHO and put together a “Lessons Learned” report on what the WHO can do to respond to another Ebola epidemic
I have uploaded the case and also the question in the file.
Also, I have some other readings (it is not necessary have to use it, but it would give some help) Since it is a case about organizational culture and dysfunctional organization, please answer the question base on this two concepts.

How has the process of reflection developed your practice?

This 2000-word assignment is a reflection on how the process of being a reflective practitioner has helped develop your practice. You will:
use theory from previous two assignments, lecture inputs and seminar activities to support your reflection;
draw on examples from your weekly reflections and from the weekly training days;
reflect on how you have used theory to improve your practice;
critically analyse the value of these reflections in supporting your professional development;
evaluate the impact on outcomes for learners.

Critically analyse the value of these reflections in supporting your professional development:
How do your reflections and the literature suggest you should modify your practice in order to improve that impact?
How does reflection contribute to your own personal learning and development as a teacher?
How will the process of reflection you have been through in this assignment influence your thinking about your practice in the future?

Should Dior company continue collaborating with Nike?

Should Dior company continue collaborating with Nike?

Is it possible to correct both the inflation and the output lost at the same time?

MACRO Environment of Business

Q1. According to a report by IMF in 2007: “World growth in recent years has been much more rapid than at any time since the oil price surges of the 1970s. This growth is being shared across countries to an unprecedented degree. Moreover, output volatility in most countries and regions has significantly declined. Analyses show that these changes in business cycle characteristics and finds that the increasing stability and the associated increase in the durability of expansions largely reflect sources that are likely to prove persistent. Improvements in the conduct of monetary and fiscal policy, as well as in broader institutional quality, have all reduced output volatility. The prospects for future stability should, however, not be taken for granted. Low average volatility does not mean that the
business cycle is dead. The abrupt end to the period of strong and sustained growth in the 1960s and early 1970s provides a useful cautionary lesson about what can happen if policies do not adjust to tackle emerging risks in a timely manner”.
Since the report, we have seen two major recessions, the Great Recession (the 2008 Crisis) and the current recession due to the global pandemic. These recessions are of magnitude that are unprecedented compared to the recession of the last 50 years. The report informs about the reduction in the fluctuations around the growth trend (that is what volatility roughly means) and praise the possibility of sustained growth. So, how should we interpret what happened since, is the low volatility period dead and recessions are back and even stronger?
Make your evaluation based on the business cycle analysis and do a bit research if necessary. Extend your thoughts into the questions; why low/less fluctuations are desirable? We know the long run economic growth depends on some fundamental factors, then if those are not changing what makes the economy fluctuate in the short run (i.e., put the economy into a recession); What could be the next emerging risks in 2021 and onwards compared to the stable growth period (sometimes known as the Great moderation period until 2008)? What are the general and specific risks to tackle in the Kingdom, GCC, globally?

Q2. Labor markets are hard to stabilize but easy to upset by policy. Remember we talked about “the natural rate of unemployment” in the class. This rate is specific to a particular economy, and it can be low or high depending on some economic factors as we discussed. Please use lecture notes, do your research online and come up with a discussion about the natural rate of unemployment for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You are not expected to come up with a prediction for the rate using a statistical technique of course. However, rather what is expected from you is rather a qualitative (economics backed) assessment of the natural rate of unemployment. As this rate is vital for understanding the long run growth potential and dynamics of a country, your discussion should also include the policy recommendations for lowering this rate as well as the reasons why it is high (if it is).
Discussion must include economic reasoning and if necessary, backed by references to other sources.
However, since there might not be many resources on the topic (on Saudi Arabia), do not just depend on a couple of resources and do not adapt their perspectives but built your own reasoning based on what you learned about the natural rate of unemployment, its dynamics, effects on long run growth.
In fact, your assessment should be based on changing labor markets phenomenon and its implications in Saudi Arabia at large.
Q3. Stagflation: Output falls, prices rise. An economy faces this situation in some extreme situations.
In this question using the AD-AS framework, can you describe an economy facing a stagflation graphically? Next In your analysis show how government policy can correct the output lost in the short run. What would be the cost of such a policy in general? Is it possible to correct both the inflation and the output lost at the same time?

First, provide an analysis of the case, to include a summary of the circumstances, suspected ethical violations, and the final outcome of the case. Your analysis should include how non-law-enforcement personnel or organizations in this case influenced the ethics of the officer.
Second, assume that you are a criminal justice administrator, and a similar incident happened under your command. Discuss any changes or actions that you would take regarding implementing and enforcing the code of ethics as well as the communication you would have with your subordinates to ensure this does not happen again in your agency. Discuss how to prevent non-law-enforcement personnel or organizations from influencing the ethics of your criminal justice professionals.
Your case study should present an insightful and thorough analysis with strong arguments and evidence that incorporate concepts learned in this unit. The case study must be a minimum of three pages in length, not counting the title page and references page.
